    “Those Towers Are Gone”. . . are the words I remember from September 11. My wife was at work near Union Square that morning and I was at work in Chicago, where I also lived. I called her to find out more information, like so many other people with friends and family in Manhattan. The phones were pretty much jammed but eventually I did get through. From that phone call, it is those four words that I remember most.

    This was her view of those towers a few years earlier from 2nd St in Manhattan.
